The Michigan Association of Conservation Districts (MACD) is a statewide organization that provides leadership to and representation of Conservation Districts at the state level. Each summer, MACD recognizes a few Conservation Districts that are really building momentum and driving successful conservation programs in their areas. This year, Mason-Lake was honored as a Rising Star for the second year in a row as we continue to expand programs for invasive species management, groundwater protection and are branching out more to river restoration work. A big thank you to the wonderful people in our District who value conservation and protecting our natural resources!
