Dains Orchards, located just 4 miles off the lakeshore in Ludington Michigan, grow a variety of fruit including apples, apricots, cherries, peaches, pears, and plums, which they sell at local Farmers Markets. Ed and Sue have been excited to participate in the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) and have done a great job implementing pollution preventive practices on their farm. Dains Orchards was verified in the MAEAP Cropping System in March 2018 and proceeded to become verified in the Farmstead System in January 2019.
