Pesticide container recycling is part of the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP).

Are you a farmer who has a bunch of pesticide jugs just stored in the corner of your barn? Have they just been piling and piling up to where you want to get rid of them? On June 24, 2024 from 3:00-4:00pm; the Mason-Lake Conservation District will offer a pesticide jug recycle at Acres Co-Op in Scottville. Farmers and landowners are encouraged to bring their empty jugs to the event during the day to properly dispose of them in a manner that is environmentally friendly.

This recycle event is in partnership with the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP), which looks at the proper handling, storage and disposal of chemicals and related items to ensure a healthy environment

If interested in learning more about this event please contact Andrew Booher, MAEAP Technician with the Mason-Lake Conservation District at: 231-757-3707 ext. 5
